This Privacy Policy explains how Truck Stop Canada (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares personal information on jobs.truckstopcanada.com (the “Job Board”). We operate from Quebec, Canada, and handle personal information in line with Canada’s PIPEDA and Quebec’s Law 25. By using the Job Board you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address, username and password when you register as a job seeker or employer.
- Job seeker information: resumes, work history, licences and certifications, location, phone number and any other details you choose to put in your profile or send with an application.
- Employer information: company name, logo, contact details, website and the job postings you publish.
- Messages and forms: anything you send us through contact, application or alert forms.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and referring site, collected through cookies and similar tools.
- Payment details: if you buy a paid job package, payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers.
How we use it
- To run the Job Board: create and manage accounts, publish jobs, and let job seekers apply and employers view applications.
- To send job alerts, application notifications and service messages you ask for.
- To process payments and prevent fraud, spam and abuse.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To meet legal obligations.
Who can see your information
- Employers: when you apply to a job, the employer receives your application and resume. If you make your resume public or searchable, employers and visitors can view it. You control this in your account settings.
- Service providers: hosting, email delivery, analytics, security and payment providers who process data on our behalf.
- Legal reasons: when required by law or to protect our rights, users or the public.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies, analytics and advertising

Retention

Children
The Job Board is not intended for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
